So, therefor I composed a little “show - off” concert piece for cello solo, as a little homage and dedication to some of the greatest performing artists of the Rock’n’Roll and the Jazz.
It kicks off almost like a solo by good ol’ Chuck Berry, to be followed by a couple of themes that could have very well been written by Jazz legends like William “Count” Basie or Edward “Duke” Ellington. I hope You will all enjoy playing it and, well, showing it off to all Your friends and dearest ones, wherever the path of Your cello and the best of Your future will lead You to.
I hereby wish every candidate of the 2020 Antonio Janigro International Cello Competetion to, as we say, “break a leg” and to take Your very best shot at the winner’s title!
